J Buchan Esq
Dear Sir, We beg your
forgiveness for addressing you these few lines.
We could not feel quiet happy to return
homewards without expressing our thanks to
you for your great kindness towards us, on
our visit to the Transvaal.
We do regret very much that we could
not get our mission through while you was
in office.
The change of Officials made a great
delay, and also we feel that our scheme is
almost a failure. We never thought that we
would come into colission upon the erea of
land, but, so it is. We expect so with the price
of land, but never thought of the other.
Now Mr Roberts and myself, we are going home
and we do wish you personally all prosperity on the
lines that are open to you, and wherever we shall
see or hear your name, it shall touch a warm
corner in our hearts, wherever God may lead us
in future. God bless you.
We are yours truly,
D. S. Jones
R. J. Roberts
