Heinemann, the publisher, called 'War.' I have written an extremely High - Tory article in Blackwood this month called "The Making of Modern Scotland."

I wish you would come & have tea with me in my new rooms at 3 Temple Gardens the next time you are in town. They are really very jolly, being very large & looking over the river & the

Gardens. I have got a great room called the Ball-room, which is so big that I can't furnish it. I have only got [in it] a carpet, table chair, couch, & my portrait - (a forbidding piece of work). I am going to live with two other men - Cuthbert Medd who is Mat Ridley's cousin & so I suppose a relation of yours, & Harold Baker whom your husband knows.

I hope Mr Murray has been

keeping well. What is he working at now? Please write to me some time when you have leisure.
