Arunside South Terrace Littlehampton.

My dearest wee Mother
We got to this queer little place last night. It was blowing a terrific gale from the S.W, and in the night I really thought this jerry-built house would be blown down. It is a comfortable place, & the food is very good, & the people are very nice - a group of old maids. I do hope it will do good to Susie's cough, which is awful. The children are just going out. form, & Alice looks much better already. The Bonns from Munich are living here & we thought of driving out to see them this afternoon.
There is no news to send you. An English watering-place in mid-winter is a bleak sight with a long deserted esplanade and a great yeasty brown sea. I hope you are all keeping well.
Much love
Your affectionate son
John
