My dear John

I shall be enchanted to dine with you in January & have written to my Secretary to send me a list of vacant dates which in turn I will forward you to choose from

Alas I fear Scotland is at present wholly impossible all January February & March I

have the Law Courts and the distance is too great. Also I am overburdened with public engagements.

The best hope would be some time before the Election if I shd happen to motor North again in which case I will certainly advise you.
