Many thanks. I never thought to read anything about the war at this time except the daily news (not the newspaper of that name) but I have been dipping into your history with the greatest pleasure. How on earth did you collect the materials?

By the bye there is a huge abortion of an 'Is' on the last

page of the preface. Surely it was not in the proof?
