Very many thanks for your letter and for identifying the Demosthenes passage. If I quote it I will see that I get the translation right.

I am very glad you like my 'shocker'. It is the most restful and delightful thing in the world to write that kind of stuff. I seriously recommend it to you next time you are having a rest. You would do it magnificently.

I will get Russell's pamphlet at once. I wish he had not gone the way he has, for I greatly admired him.
