advice given by Carson & Redmond (the latter a man the Times loathes

The feminine spit & spite of H's settlement of Labour versus army in the Curragh intrigue when he took the War office is also very characteristic "The result was simply to lull the country etc Has Robinson any idea of what the feeling was over the Curragh Milner Carson Roberts Seely Paget row? Robinson pathetically foolish & feline Can you conceive a more assish criticism of Henry than "spectacular". He might as well say "neurotic" What an amusing team Winston, Carson, Repington, Robinson, Amery, Milner Loreburn plus the fun of angling for Ll. George & G. Curzon (the latter doubtful for since his speech the Times & Mail think he has been "found out". Don't fail to come & see me Wed tea or lunch -

early in the war & it is true -

Henry may be as stupid as the Robinsons Repingtons, Carsons Curzons, Milners Markhams, think but as I've said before only God can rid of him - Why?? because he is absolutely indifferent to the Press & all personal intriguing against himself. He is unfrightenable & he is as Deliberate as he is Patient & Loyal -
