My dear little one

Just a line after a very busy day. Things are going pretty well. This evening I found Arthur [Grenfell] and brought him back for dinner at Amiens [grey pencil] with the Master of Burleigh & Paddy Kinross [ST - Lord Kinross]. He was in tremendous form & very well.

I may be home on Tuesday night, or I may have to stay till Wednesday, but at all costs [double underlined] I'll be home Wednesday night. I am so sorry for the delay, but it is not my blame but that of our offensive.
