My dearest little one

We arrived safely at Boulogne, but rather late. I found Flora Russell & one of the Johnston-Douglases, & John Ponsonby, & we all lunched together. The Russell family seem

all to have become combatants again, for Conrad & Claud & Gilbert are all up at the front in some capacity or other.

It is beastly close grey weather here. I felt cheap at starting, but I am all right now & soon shall be perfectly well.

I will write you tomorrow.
