My own little one
So far as I can see I shall not have to go to Paris & shall get back to London on Monday. I don't know what time, for the boats are irregular, but sometime that day. Last night I went to see the films of the Big Push, of which we had a private show. On the whole they were very good. I look forward to showing them to you in London, for it gives far the best notion of modern war.
To day I have been all morning at General Charteris' & am now going to see Harry Rawlinson & later Hubert Gough. I don't suppose I shall ever be near the front line this time. - I have

so much to do and talk about.
The weather has been grey, but it is bright sun now. I hope it will continue. I am immensely better. I had a perfect night last night & am very well to-day - I hope I have reduced my old duodenum to terms.
I do hope you are well & not depressed & that you will have a pleasant week-end with the blessings
Much love to all
Your ever affectionate
John
