Friday evening

My dearest little one

This is a lovely bright day, & I have spent most of it with General Haldane, where I saw Charlie Howick & Lord Dunmore. We stayed to luncheon & had a great talk. Yesterday I was with Harry Rawlinson & H. [ST: General Hubert] Gough, & I am going out to dine with Gough to night. Neill Malcolm is in great form & very cheerful. Arthur is commanding a lot of disconnected cavalry & I hope to see him. Charlie H. says he is in the pink of condition. I am exceedingly well now and enjoying myself. I will be back sometime on Monday. I hope you have a good week-end & get the blessings safely back to London.
