My own little darling

I got two letters from you this morning & was thrilled by your news about the blessings. I am so sorry for poor little Mollie. Will you tell her that? About bills for myself, just put them in the top drawer of my table, & send Edie's [?] storage box to Coutts. I will attend to my bills when I get home.

I am so glad the children are well. By all means ask Mrs Killick if she can spare ½ an hour a day to take letters for you. I quite approve

I expect to be home on Monday evening, as I have been recalled for an F.O. job. I shall stay about 2 days, but it will be a joy to

get that. If you like, take seats for the Bing Boys for Monday night & ask Gerald & Marnie to come. But just as you please. I am getting the young [subaltern's?] point of view now.

I had a long day yesterday on the front, & to-day I have to go back, & am taking Geoffrey Robinson with me. It is powerful bad weather & I am a pillar of mud by day & a pillar of dust by night.

I will ring you up from the F.O. when I get back on Monday, if nothing stops me. But don't expect me till you see me.

Much love to all

Your ever devoted

John
