My own little darling

I was very glad to get your wire thist morning. I have been thinking a great deal about my little lonely Moufflée, left without me at such a time. I hope the conductor of the train did not forget to post a postcard in Edinburgh this morning.

health to my eyes that she has been for long. I took my last look of my beloved old Father. He was lying most majestic in death, like a great stature. Much love, my dearest

Yours affectionately

John
