It was extremely kind of you to send me a copy of "The Moon Endureth" It arrived this morning and I feel I must write at once to thank you so much for sending it to me. I know I shall enjoy reading it very much. Charles has already

discovered a poem he much likes, "The Shorter Catechism".

I hope Mrs Buchan is quite well and the children too. We have been enjoying most lovely weather but I expect you liked it too when you were north last week.

Charles says I am to

tell you he was greatly taken with your speech on Home Rule and thinks it is one of the soundest he has ever read.
