My dearest wee Mother

We were very glad to get Nan's letter this morning. It was far too kind of her to send something for Alice's birthday. Tell her I will send her a copy of my poems for [Agneta?]. I am sending a copy to Skiel to-day.

Is there definite word that Robbie Macmillan is killed? I have not seen it in the papers. What a splendid life he has had!

Yesterday evening we had a thunderstorm & rain, but to-day it is bright & warm again. It is pleasant to think of the children down in that heavenly country.

I had a very busy day yesterday & did not get home till 10. I had hours with Bob Cecil, & the P.M. Russian affairs are looking brighter, & the Italian advance is very good.

I had to be photographed last week. They seem pretty good & I will send you one, as soon as they are ready. Johnnie Jameson is able to hobble about now with a crutch.
