My dearest wee Mother

Yesterday was a warm spring day with several thunder-showers. This morning it is hazy & promises to be very warm. I stayed down

yesterday & worked at my History in the morning, & in the garden in the afternoon. We dined out with the Regius Professor of Divinity at Christ Church, & among others met old Professor Somerville, the father-in-law

of Harry Marshall.

I am very well these days, & so are the rest of us. We are greatly looking forward to Mr John coming back to-morrow. We hope he may stay over Whitsunday. I shall have a

comfortable journey to Scotland next week
