I do hope you weren't worried by the slowness of my telegram. We had a most wild crossing & when I got over the telegraph office was shut. When I got to the chateau the wind had blown down the telegraph lines so I couldn't send a wire officially. I didn't

get it off till yesterday morning.
I shall go back to-morrow - I am not certain just when. The boats are not fixed till to night, & it is just conceivable that they may not go. But I will wire to-morrow morning to the F.O.
