My dearest wee Mother

If you write me any more letters in which you mention you have been sick, I shall have to take the first train to Scotland & look after you. You are evidently far from well, wee body. You simply must come up here & stay with me, so that I

can keep an eye on you. I will take no denial. You are coming up here in December & stay over Xmas, so there!

I send you a copy of my Poems with the proper dedication. I am sending one to-day to Major Dickson. I will write to the 'Times' telling them they must give Nan's book

a full review. I should have done it long ago. Mea culpa!

I had a busy day yesterday, & had Carson all afternoon & evening. The Paris Conference is preventing other conferences, so I am less troubled with them.

I enclose you a thing about Susie's crêche. The whole thing is her doing from start to finish

Billy has taken to calling himself "Ugly Bill". It isn't fair, for he is a very bonny wee body.

We are all well.
