John is really very much better.

I am very busy, but finding my work much more satisfactory. Beaverbrook has an extraordinarily careful mind & is so willing to learn.

It was tremendously good of Nan to send the cake & biscuits. Billy fairly battens on the biscuits.

The P.M. rang me up yesterday to ask my assistance in composing his speeches for Scotland next week. I hope he does well, for that side at least he is good at. Milner is doing wonderfully at the War Office. He is so amazingly open to new ideas.

there is no holiday for J.B. I pine for June & my week in Scotland. I only hope I shall find my wee Mother not too seedy.
