Dear Mr. Buchan -

I am delighted to receive the volume of your poems, with the much prized addition of your signature on the fly leaf.

My husband and I have always counted it one of our especial pleasures that we have known you and Mrs. Buchan here, and can claim

you as friends. To you then we will not say "good bye", but "till we meet again".

I find it very hard to leave England now, but the sympathy and kindness of our friends has brought much comfort, and we both appreciate your writing.
