April: 4: 19
My dearest wee Mother
It is still fine weather, but I see that the 'Times' prophesies rain. I am very busy beginning the revision of my History & starting my S. African War[s] Record. We are all very well. Susie is busy house-hunting. We have heard of a place quite near Oxford which sounds suitable, & I am going down to see it as soon as I can get away. Harold Baker dined with me last night. back from being with the Asquiths in Spain. He says that the old man is pretty depressed. Please tell me when Nan's train arrives on Tuesday. I will be there to meet her.

Much love to all
