My dear Mr Buchan. I have been intending for weeks to write to you. Now you will think I am only writing because I want frankly to beg. Will you give me a copy of Mr. Buchan's Remembrance book: Ettie Desborough has it here, & Mary Wemyss has just been reading me the Raymond out of it. I am looking forward to taking the others to bed with me this evening. I do feel we

all owe him an everlasting debt, for such a wonderful appreciation, & power of putting into words what we all feel about Raymond & Basil.
I wonder if, you could come here any Sunday? it w'd be such a pleasure - we w'd send to meet you at Blockenhurst, (8 1/2 miles) so it is not a difficult journey, either Friday 20th-27th-or 4th.
Yours v. sincerely
Constance Manners
