I enclose part of a letter from Ellery Sedgwick.

I heard a remarkable account from him of Opal Whiteley & he brought her my request to see me, when I was in Boston. She seemed to me even more remarkable than could be realized

without seeing her & one or two extracts from her child's diary which I saw were most interesting & pathetic. I know nothing like it, except the accounts of St Francis of Assisi, that shows such feeling for animals & birds & trees.

Perhaps my own temperament makes me more moved by this than most people will be, but
