I am so very grateful to you for giving me your book.

I had read your account of Basil [ST: Lord Basil Blackwood] in the copy you gave Fred, and I like it so very much that I was anxious to have one for myself.

You have said everything that I wish to have said, and many things which I have thought about him

and it was a real pleasure to me to have this little Memorial of him written for his friends & for those who will never cease to mourn him.
