My dear Buchan,
Many thanks for sending me the book on
the Grenfell Twins who were dear friends of mine. As
you know, their father was a neighbour of ours for many
years and I had four of the family in my Yeomanry under
my command. The year before the war I handed over to
Cecil Grenfell who in his turn was succeeded in 1917 by
John Grenfell, his brother. Poor Rivy never served with
us during the war but he was very fond of the Regiment
in the old days.
Yours very truly,
Burnham
