We are sending you back the book - it is delightful reading & the Twins live & shine out as one reads. We find only 2 points, very tiny ones to make any remark about - One on page 12 - the real story was that Francis borrowed a sovereign from the Head to tip Lord Lonsdales servant who had
[from left margin:] of them that you have put into the sketch - no one could have done it without that feeling

8 is their age of the photograph. It must have been before they went to school.

bought them some hounds for their beagle pack, presented them by Ld L. I daresay the word 'tip' suggested the story as you have it - but I think it is very unlikely as it stands - especially as they did not care about betting.
On page 17, Uncle F has added that he wrote to them 'from Cairo' . The book will be a very treasured possession to all of us & I should think to their friends - we read it of course with biassed minds - but I think that even strangers to them will delight in it, merely as a study of character - I cannot tell you how much we appreciate all the love
