of bringing more of them in. Why not do a Scottish 'Path of the King' sort of historical book through the ages?

But the whole book is full of the mettle of your pasture; it breathes of your fun and humour and love of life. The very extravagance of the plot is part of the fun - tho' one reviewer I saw (in the Lit Supp. I believe) took you to task on the ground of the improbability of the events!!!! As long as a person can turn out for his people love as much as we love yours they can be about voyages to the moon for all anyone need care.

We are just off to Peeblesshire and the drunk innkeeper. Your brother of Peebles has kindly been in correspondence with us. Our best love to you all.

Yrs ever George M Trevelyan
