Dear John Buchan,
Just a line to tell you how much Hugh & I were beguiled & thrilled by your story on our voyage. I had had the greatest difficulty in refraining from dipping into it before we started & was properly rewarded by two days' absorbing pleasure lying about in a deck chair on the good ship "Minnedosa". Ditto Hugh when his turn came.

We had a splendid crossing & much enjoyed everything - & nearly everybody!
The Captain, a Clydesider, from Arran, was quite the nicest person on board & very good to us : a spendid dependable fellow to have up on the bridge when we met fog & Ice off Newfoundland last Tuesday night.
Here, we are being well looked after on land - & largely overfed. Hugh works for it with arduous days of consultation - but I shall probably burst!
We proceed to Ottawa on Thursday for more talky-talky, then St John, N.B. on the 30th for Canadian Bar Association meeting.
Very good Book shops here but haven't yet spied "The Dancing Floor" - I suppose Kore will appear here in her American dress.
Love from both to both
Yours ever
Kitty Macmillan
