SS. Megantic, Oct. 15, 1926.

My dear Buchan:

This is not going to be a letter, as I am looking forward to seeing you again very soon. It is only a word of greeting on reaching the shores of Britain, and a word of thanks for your letters to me. I shall have a lot to tell you when we meet, and I am looking forward with keen delight to seeing you again. Until then, with best wishes to Mrs. Buchan and yourself, believe me, as always,

Yours very sincerely,

P.S.- I am sorry that your book had not reached Ottawa at the time I left, and I have thereby been denied the pleasure of having it as a companion on this voyage . I shall count upon it as a Christmas box on my return.
