This letter should be re-written for I have been continually interrupted by my obstreperous family but you will forgive, I know.

My dear John, how delightful of you! I am enchanted! Although Roger Senior has been so absorbed in & has so entirely monopolised "The Dancing Floor" that I have not had a chance to do more than glance at the fly-leaf,

still I know that I shall be equally absorbed and delighted when my chance comes! Thanks so very much - not only for myself & Roger, but for the two boys, who gave a shout of joy when the book arrived!

We adore the Highlands & never want

to go anywhere else! Roger Sr. & I took a 3 day motor-trip, to Lochinver, & then via Drumbeg, the narrowest & stoniest & steepest Highland road imaginable, to John o' Groats, & home. Some of the loveliest country - & I use the word advisedly, altho' portions were wild & rugged, thet were yet infinitely lovely in their color & changing shadows -I have ever

seen anywhere.
