Dear Mr. Buchan
I must send you this quotation from a letter I have just had from my sister Florence MacCunn. Her daughter Poldoris has just passed her final examination (medicine) in Glasgow. The very last question in her oral of the great man examining her was "Have you read Huntingtower? & are you a relation of Dickson McCunn" - "No Sir but I wish we were".
Florence goes on "What a blessed thing for tellers of stories to know the happiness they can bring to sick beds & to anxious hours - I lent Huntingtower to the dear consumptive boy (in the village). When I asked him how he

liked it, he was at first speechless - & then could only articulate "Oh! that Dickson McCunn" & then repeat the names of the Gorbal Diehards ecstatically."
Many of us thinking of hours of perfect enjoyment & abiding memories of great adventure, rise up & call you blessed.
My love to Susie
Yours very sincerely Eleanor C. Sellar
