I have just been reading your Huntingtower, in which I noticed your reference to Izaak Walton's "chavender or chub" & the verses which this might suggest. As I gathered you had not happened to see the verses which do exist on the subject. I am sending a copy of some by W. St. Leger,

which originally appeared in Punch. They seem to be very much on the lines suggested as possible. I daresay others of your readers have already called your attention to these amusing verses.
