My dear Buchan:

I do not mean to deluge you with letters but I cannot help saying, "Well done, Herr Gaudian." It was a master thought to revive him and to give us such a touching picture of him, but why cannot we have more of Mr. Blenkiron who, to judge from remarks lately made by Sir Richard and Lady Hannay, must still be alive. Although Blenkiron always strongly appealed to me, yet I had reservaions mental and vocal, in regard to his speech. In your approaching visit to America, you will perhaps have time to study the American language and to give Mr. Blenkiron a nicer choice of words when or if you continue the fortunes of Sir Richard.
