How very good of you to send me a copy - author's copy too, for you've written your name therein - of "John Macnab". I could not think who was sending me a book from Town. Its a very readable work.

I'll hope to get a 'photo of the famous cheque for you - for the original poached

*I've never got over my smash in France 1914.

head - & if need be a photo of the head which would look well on the cover of 2nd & subsequent editions!

Mind you promised if you were in the parts to look me up & sample my malt.

Alas my poaching days are about over.* My biggest coup that way was elephants in Portuguese E.A.
