When I got here late on Saturday evening (after an exciting afternoon at Lord's) I was delighted to find your present of your latest book, called - I think - John McNab; and bfore going to bed, I found Sgur Mhor on the map: but, alas, Togo got hold

of it that night, and on Sunday evening carried it off to London; so I have not yet had a chance of reading it.
And so it is still a pleasure to come.
At present I am crawling about on a stick having torn a muscle in my leg; the result of trying to play lawn-tennis on Sunday
