I bought John Macnab at St Enoch's on Friday & read it during the wearisome journey on the G&S.W. here - quite excellent - though I am only half way through -

I write really however to point out a mis-print which I feel more will annoy you as a sportsman - viz on page 23 -

"A cover shoot" instead of a covert shoot.

I think Lamancha's

eldest son's courtesy title must be Viscount Mendick or Lord Macbie -

Don't forget to look in here, if you are motoring down or up Nithsdale
