[EDWARD WOOD, LORD IRWIN]

GARROWBY, BUCKTHORPE, YORK.

TELEGRAMS.BISHOP WILTON.

STATION, STAMFORD BRIDGE, N.E.R.

13th November, 1925.

My dear John,

It is very nice of you to write as you do. I am very conscious of hosts of shortcomings, to which the kindness of my friends makes them blind, and one therefore is grateful for all the good wishes one can get.

We should greatly enjoy it if we could steal a week-end with you, but I am afraid it may be difficult there are so many things one has got to try and settle. But if we see a chance may we boldly propose ourselves?

Yours ever,

Edward Wood [ST - afterwards Earl of Halifax]

Col. John Buchan, Elsfield Manor, OXFORD.
