I am going to ask you to do me a favour and a kindness.

Dick Law (Bonar's son) is going to try and write a life of his father, an almost impossible task for so young a man. It would be invaluable to him to be allowed to talk for half an hour to an acknowledged

master of the craft. Will you spare him that much of your time? I know it is a lot to ask for.

But if you will, drop him a line and tell him when and where you would see him.
