My dear Buchan,

Your great book is published and I have got my edition. I am going to get one or two more. You will remember you wrote to me on the 25th June and said that you would send me an unbound copy with some extra pages. Can you do this? I wrote to you on the 24th June and said that I would get it bound.

I cannot congratulate you enough on your book, and thank you enough for what you have done on behalf of the Regiment. You know what I feel, and I hope in due course, though it will take some little time, that we will be able to show to you the appreciation of the Regiment.

I hope you are fit and well.
