I have just read your great History of the Royal Scots Fusiliers, and beg to thank you most sincerely for your generous references to my son Robert W. Sterling.

I should like this note to stop with my thanks but you will pardon me in pointing out that my younger son John Lockhart Sterling mentioned

on page 329 was Robert's brother. His name is wrongly spelt and if in future editions this could be mentioned and rectified I should feel deeply grateful to you.
