My own darling
I got your letter at breakfast this morning. I had a line from Alice last night suggesting next Wednesday for the dinner, and I have secured Bill Gray. I will ask Borodale and I think I will try and get S.B., and Thelma Cazalet. Shall I ask Marnie?
We had a dull debate last night on the vote of censure, and today we are on the Committee of the Tariff Bill. I am lunching with Mrs. Graham Murray, and we have our group dinner tonight, to which S.B. is coming.
Remember I am coming down by the first train tomorrow. Tell Webb to meet me at eleven o'clock. You and I will go down and see the races in the afternoon. I am dining at Erasenose and reading a paper to the Pater Society, and then go off early on Saturday morning to Scotland.
I do hope my little girl is better and taking great care. There is very little news here. I am sending John a wire to wish him luck.
Much love. from John
