St. Stephen's House, London, S.W.1.

8th March, 1932.

My own darling,

I have not much news today, except that we are getting rain, which I hope you will also get at Elsfield.

I went to Geoffrey Whitworth's Committee yesterday, which was a very innocent amateur thing. Then I attended several Committees at the House, at one of which Malcolm Bullock gave a really remarkable account of his recent visit to Germany. I dined at the Club and went early to bed.

Today I have a Reuter meeting in the afternoon, and then a long Scottish Committee, and I hope to dine with The Club.

I am looking forward to seeing you at 1.15 on Thursday at the Ladies' Army and Navy Club, St. James's Place.

George Trevelyan writes me about Scott and says that no better book on Scott will ever be written, and that it is better than Lockhart!!

I enclose two letters from Charlie Londonderry and Tin.

See that John is thoroughly equipped for his travels. I do hope he will get good weather.

Much love.

John
