My dear Buchan,
That was a gentle act and I appreciate you kindly thought. Yes, I am leaving Parliament. At one time I had an idea that it was a sphere for me, but I am sure it is not. I have never taken to the life one bit, though it is the most interesting life I know. But I must go back to making a living and the only way I can do that is to return to business & give up Parliament.

You are going on to just the height to which you wish to go. I look on with admiration and affection but without envy and wish you all happiness & success in all your many spheres.
Ian is a proud youth to have been remembered.
The future? Who shall say? You are a great attraction!
All my best wishes for you at all times.
Yours very sincerely
Rosslyn
