KENRY HOUSE, KINGSTON HILL, KINGSTON-ON-THAMES.

Dear John,

than a week ago from the 'Athens of the North' alias 'Modern Athens' (most infelicitous of nicknames!) where I had spent some six weeks in a nursing home.
I shall be pleased, but a good deal surprised, if I have not to give some London nursing home a bit of a turn. Wondrous is the skill of our surgeons; but I doubt if most of their patients are really worth all the fuss.
Love to you both
Yours F.S.O.
