My darling Sooze. All loving wishes for Xmas to you darling. I am miserable to think I have not seen you & by my own fault - for you wrote to tell me when you wd be up. I had a crowded & difficult summer - & became vague & hopeless over all such things

as meetings & appointments unless they just happened. Should there be any chance of seeing you after Xmas will you heap the coals however fiercely they burn on me? & let me know
