My own little darling
I got your letter this morning. I am so sorry you were anxious about me. Yesterday was a day of lovely weather. I spent the morning with the Vice-Chancellor going over the University & got to Mount Stewart [ST: the Londonderrys'] to luncheon. The afternoon I spent looking at birds on a loch - 3 kinds of wild geese, wild swans [etc]. I wish John had been there.

think they liked my address. The Governor-General, the Duke of Abercorn, was in the chair.
To day it is very wet. I have to address the Ulster women, & get my boat at 9.
I long to be back with you. I don't think I'll bother to [ask Freddy Furneaux].
What do you think of the Cabinet? Good, I think, except for A Sinclair & D. Maclean, & H. Samuel. I don't want traitors in the camp.
