St. Stephen's House, London, S.W.1.

29th November , 1932.

My own darling,

I had a pleasant journey down yesterday in beautiful weather. I got to the Club at about six o 'clock, and dined there, and then went to the House, where we had the division on the Address at eleven o'clock. The chief subject of conversation is, of course, the American Debts, where the situation is very difficult.

I think all is right for the dinner tonight - at least nobody has scratched. I am lunching with Enid Jones to meet Margot and Abe Bailey.

I got your beloved letter last night when I arrived. I am so glad to hear that the party on Saturday night went off well, and that the little boys were in good form. What a collection of visitors you must have had on Sunday! I was so sorry to hear about Evelyn Malcolm.

Much love. from John
