Dear Sir,
I am instructed by the Council of Trinity College to express the hope that you will be able to accept their invitation to hold the Lees Knowles Lectureship in Military Science for the Academical Year 1933-34
The regulations as to the Lectureship are as follows.
The lectures are to be on some period of Military History or on some other subject connected with the study

of Military Science. The subjects proposed for the lectures are to be submitted to the Council for approval.
The lecturer must deliver not less than 3 lectures during his tenure of the Office. These lectures must be given in full term.
The stipend is from a fund which yields between £50 & £60
