The Boy Players 1419-1609 : Revived 1929

Dear Sir
In your recently published book on Glencoe there are two rather glaring errors in the maps contained in the book.
Map I (giving the clan districts, etc.) call LOCH AWE "Loch Etive"! Loch Awe must curdle its waters from Ford to Kilchurn at the very thought of this, and seek to 'pay out' Etive by sending down an angry spate by Pass of Brander!
On Map II (the enlarged map of the Glencoe district) "Devil's Staircase" much to its amazement (and ours) is placed opposite ALLT COIRE GABHAIL instead of being exactly opposite the entry to the LAIRIG GARTAIN (as stated in the text.)

You, sir, draw such admirable maps in several of your books ("John Macnab", for instance) that I am sure you will not mind my bothering you in this way. But maps in any book that are not accurate in every detail only confuse a reader who does not "know his ground".
Yours very truly
Arthur Poyser
P.S. You may remember that I had the pleasure of meeting you some years ago on the introduction of "C.L.G." of Punch.
