St. Stephen's House, London, S.W.1.

15th June, 1933

My own darling

I was delighted to get your letter this morning. I am so glad you had a pleasant visit to Eton. Will you remind Webb that I am coming by the 10.12 train tomorrow morning.

I had a busy day yesterday, and spoke with Herbert Samuel at the Philosophical Institute in the evening, when Gilbert Murray took the chair. Neville's announcement about the War Debts settlement at ten o'clock was very dramatic.

I am simply buried under piles of correspondence, but I hope to get clear by the weekend.

I have just had a long letter from Gran about Alice's engagement, of which apparently Alice has told her. I think I had better leave full explanations until I go up next week.

I hope every thing goes well with you.

Much love from John
